Jagan successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled “Granular Flow and Rheology under Shear, Vibration and Gas Flow” with a thesis committee of Drs. Chris Boyce, Lina Baroudi, Kyle Bishop, Chris Durning and Ray Farinato. A highlight of his thesis was a first-author publication in Soft Matter demonstrating that structured bubbling can still occur in binary mixtures of particles and can act to mix particles as compared to unstructured bubbling.
